Rasuli P, et al. - The effectiveness of gelatin sponge with that of coils for splenic artery embolization in the treatment of the blunt splenic injury is compared in this study. The outcome of this study suggests that splenic artery embolization with gelatin sponge seems to be as successful and as safe as coil embolization and can be completed in a shorter time.
