Seiler JC, Keech RC, Aker JL, et al. - Combined results from 2 controlled clinical studies suggest superiority of 0.9% spinosad topical suspension in the eradication of scabies in patients of 4 years of age or older when compared with applying a vehicle.
The studies involved index individuals (the youngest household members with active scabies) and up to 5 other members in each household.
0.9% Spinosad or vehicle was applied once.
Treatment effect of 0.9% spinosad was consistently evident.
There were no safety signals.
