Pain Jun 30, 2018
Evans R, et al. - Considering the paucity of a high-quality research regarding low back pain (LBP) in adolescence, researchers undertook a multicenter randomized trial comparing 12 weeks of spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) combined with exercise therapy (ET) to ET alone among 185 adolescents aged 12 to 18 years with chronic LBP. Observations revealed spinal manipulation combined with exercise as more effective than exercise alone over a 1-year period for adolescents with chronic LBP. The largest differences were noted at 6 months.
