Spectacle independence and quality of vision after bilateral implantation of a trifocal intraocular lens
Clinical Ophthalmology Jun 21, 2021
Shatz AC, et al. - Researchers conducted this single site, prospective, single-arm study to assess the patient-reported spectacle independence and quality of vision for patients who were bilaterally implanted with a trifocal intraocular lens (IOL). Subjects who presented for cataract surgery and wanted to reduce their reliance on glasses at multiple distances were enrolled. The trifocal IOL provided functional vision and spectacle independence to nearly all individuals for distance, intermediate, and near work. It is a viable option for patients who want to reduce their overall reliance on spectacles following cataract surgery.
