Specific knock-down of tissue non-specific alkaline phosphatase mRNA levels inhibits intracellular lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 and HepG2 cells
International Journal of Experimental Pathology Sep 28, 2017
Chirambo G, et al. - This research aspired to use specific silencing of tissue non-specific alkaline phosphatase (TNSALP) mRNA, with the aid of the short interfering (si) RNA. The intent was to determine the role of TNSALP in intracellular lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 and HepG2 cells. TNSALP played a crucial role in the control of lipid droplet formation in both pre-adipocyte and hepatocyte cell lines.
