Snail immunohistochemical overexpression correlates to recurrence risk in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer: Results from a longitudinal cohort study
Virchows Archiv Mar 16, 2018
Santi R, et al. - The correlation between Snail, Slug, and E-cadherin expression and clinico-pathologic features of non-muscle invasive bladder carcinoma (NMIBC) was determined. No association was demonstrated between E-cadherin and Slug expression with any of the parameters considered. Multivariate analysis illustrated that Snail expression was recognised as an independent prognostic factor for tumour recurrence. It was reported that Snail immunohistochemical overexpression was linked with tumour recurrence in patients affected by NMIBC.
