Auer M, et al. - Researchers investigate if smoking may increase the risk for John Cunningham virus (JCV) infection in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Findings suggest no risk related to smoking for JCV infection in MS patients. Therefore, it does not represent a suitable marker for PML-risk stratification under treatment with natalizumab.
