Mustonen A, et al. - The associations between daily smoking and psychosis risk were examined in a 15-year follow-up while accounting for these covariates in a prospective sample from the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1986. Researchers recognized that even after adjustment for confounders, heavy tobacco smoking was correlated with a greater risk for psychosis in adolescence.
