Pajecki D, Dantas ACB, Tustumi F, et al. - One-year outcomes of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) vs laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB) were examined in patients 65 years or older. Researchers recruited 36 elderly obese patients for an open-label randomized trial comparing LSG to LRYGB. As per outcomes, LRYGB was linked with better weight loss and better control of diabetes, and LDL after 12 months.
