Sleep quality in patients with rotator cuff disease
Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Mar 20, 2018
Khazzam MS, et al. - Patient-reported factors that are associated with sleep disturbances in patients with rotator cuff disease were determined. In patients with rotator cuff disease, worse sleep quality scores were related to pain, depression, female gender, low back pain, diabetes mellitus, and high body mass index. Patients with rotator cuff disease of varying severity did not differ in terms of sleep quality. A unique relationship between hypertension (in patients with rotator cuff tears) and concurrent cervical pathology (in patients with tendinitis) was noted with the disease classification.
