Sleep disorders and health-related quality of life in patients with interstitial lung disease

Sleep and Breathing Oct 20, 2017

Mavroudi M, et al. - Researchers sought to determine the frequency of sleep disorders in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and sarcoidosis. Furthermore, they evaluated patients’ quality of life in relation to these disorders. Findings demonstrated that obstructive sleep apnea of at least mild severity was commonly detected among this patient population. Data also reported that Short-Form 36 (SF-36) questionnaire may serve as a useful tool for the assessment of the quality of life in these patients.
