Shida T, et al. – This investigation strives to determine whether skeletal muscle mass to visceral fat area ratio (SV ratio) affects non–alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) pathophysiology. The authors reveal that decreased muscle mass coupled with increased visceral fat mass is closely correlated with an increased risk for exacerbating NAFLD pathophysiology.
