Sites of metastasis and overall survival in esophageal cancer: A population-based study

Wu SG, et al. - This study was performed with the aim to determine the patterns and survival outcomes for site-specific distant metastasis (DM) from esophageal cancer (EC) using a population-based approach. In the current work, survival in metastatic EC seemed related to the site of metastasis. For bone metastases, overall survival (OS) was worst and for distant lymph node metastases, it was greatest.
