Wong RJ, et al. - This cross-sectional analysis intended to assess prevalence and predictors of hepatic fibrosis among US adults with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Among US adults, NAFLD represented as a major healthcare burden with as many as 5 million adults estimated to have NAFLD with ≥F3 fibrosis. Factors independently correlated with higher risk of fibrosis were age and the components of the metabolic syndrome.
