Sialoendoscopy for treatment of juvenile recurrent parotitis: The Brescia experience

Berlucchi M, et al. - This trial was designed in order to contemplate the role of sialoendoscopy related to steroid irrigation for juvenile recurrent parotitis (JRP). As per the outcomes, operative sialoendoscopy with steroid irrigation served as a valid therapeutic treatment for JRP. This technique appeared to be conservative, effective, safe and potentially repeatable. The benefits of this therapy included short hospitalization time, rapid recovery, the absence of peri-operative complications and a high rate of good outcomes.
