Karagozoglu KH, et al. - Herein the experts aimed to evaluate the impact of sialendoscopy of the major salivary glands on salivary flow and xerostomia in subjects having Sjogren’s syndrome (SS). Salivary flow was increased and xerostomia reduced as a result of irrigation of the major salivary glands in patients with SS. These effects were noted for up to 6 months following sialendoscopy.
