Short- vs long-term dual antiplatelet therapy after second-generation drug-eluting stent implantation: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Drug Design, Development and Therapy Jun 29, 2018
Li H, et al. - In order to assess the optimal length of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) after implantation of a second-generation drug-eluting stent (DES), short-term (≤6 months) and long-term (≥12 months) DAPT after implantation were evaluated in terms of efficacy and safety. Searching English language publications in PubMed, the Cochrane Library, the Embase and ClinicalTrials.gov, researchers included seven randomized controlled trials with 13,571 patients in this study. Analysis revealed short-term DAPT as non-inferior to long-term DAPT in patients implanted with second-generation DES.
