The Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery Nov 01, 2017
Cao H, et al. - In this study, researchers compared the outcomes between patients treated for Sanders type III calcaneal fractures by open anatomic reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with bone grafting or ORIF without bone grafting. No improvement was evident in the restoration of Böhler's angle or Gissane's angle following bone grafting with internal fixation in the patients sustaining intraarticular calcaneal fractures, however, both methods provided short-term outcomes that did not differ statistically significantly.
