Wang L, et al. – A systematic review and meta–analysis was performed to investigate the short–term effects of preoperative beta–blocker use for patients undergoing isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Authors identified no reduction in the operative mortality or the incidence of postoperative complications with the use of preoperative beta–blockers in these patients.
