Short-term and long-term outcomes after preventive surgery in adolescent patients with familial adenomatous polyposis

Vitellaro M, Piozzi G, Signoroni S, et al. - A descriptive analysis was conducted on 38 youngster peoples to assess a surgical series of growing individuals with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) registered in the prospectively managed hereditary polyposis registry. Following assessing they located majorly relative to the individual quality of life, rectal sparing surgery was the primary option. Moreover, laparoscopic prophylactic surgery for FAP was well accepted by adolescents. Furthermore, because of the decreased incidence of postsurgical desmoids and quick postoperative recovery, it depicted a reliable option.
