Reutrakul S, et al. - This paper aspired to gauge the tie-up between sleep duration and hyperglycemia in pregnancy or gestational diabetes(GDM). The results illustrated that women who slept ≤6.25hours presented with higher one-hour glucose levels after 50-gram oral glucose tolerance testing by 0.65 mmol/L(0.18, 1.13) and an increased risk of GDM.A link was unveiled between short sleep duration in pregnancy, both self-reported and objectively measured, with hyperglycemia and an increased GDM risk.
