The American Journal of Emergency Medicine Jul 01, 2018
Tomberg RJ, et al. - Via performing a retrospective chart review on patients presenting to 10 Emergency Departments (ED) in southeastern Virginia from February 22, 2008 through December 31, 2016, researchers thoroughly evaluated shark-related-injuries (SRIs). They identified 11 SRI patients indicating that most SRIs can be safely evaluated, treated, and discharged from the ED.
