Clements-Nolle K, et al. - The upshot of sexual identity and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on suicidal behaviors were explored in this trial, in a population-based cohort of high school students. Disproportionately high levels of suicide ideation and attempts were disclosed among lesbian, gay, or bisexual (LGB) and students not sure of their sexual identity with greater exposure to ACEs. A necessity arose for trauma-informed interventions for such cohorts.
