Sexual function following hysterectomy for endometrial cancer: A five-year follow up investigation
Gynecologic Oncology Jan 23, 2019
Buckingham L, et al. - In this cross-sectional study, researchers surveyed 129 endometrial cancer and 63 matched urogynecology patients using the Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ) to determine their baseline and 5-year follow-up sexual function score. Among endometrial cancer patients, sexual function was stable over a 5-year period and was comparable to urogynecology controls. Median PISQ score at 5 years was not significantly different from baseline: 31 vs 33. They identified no demographic or clinical characteristics of endometrial cancer patients to be independently associated with sexual function.
