Sexual function following hysterectomy for endometrial cancer: A five-year follow up investigation
Gynecologic Oncology Nov 15, 2018
Buckingham L, et al. - Experts ascertained a baseline and five-year follow up sexual function score in women undergoing hysterectomy for endometrial cancer. They surveyed the patients during academic year 2011 using the Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ). Findings did not suggest a significant difference in the sexual function for endometrial cancer patients in comparison to women treated for benign disease. For endometrial cancer patients, they noted the stability of sexual function regardless of time from initial treatment. Between groups, BMI, race, diabetes, or smoking history did not differ statistically.
