Annals of Epidemiology Sep 29, 2017
Suglia SF, et al. - This study assessed the link between perceived stress and adiposity in a nationally representative sample of young adults, accounting for sex differences. Findings reported that among male participants, an association of perceived stress with lower levels of adiposity was evident. Data indicated that different behavioral and coping strategies in response to stress between men and women as well as biological mechanisms could be held responsible for the observed differences.
