Serum Romo1 is significantly associated with disease severity in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
Sleep and Breathing Jan 23, 2018
Ye L, et al. - Patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) were assessed, herein, for reactive oxygen species modulator 1 (Romo1) levels and its possible relationships to OSAS severity, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and C-reactive protein (CRP). The impacts of nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP) on serum Romo1 were also investigated. In this population, a positive correlation was observed between increase in serum Romo1 and disease severity. Serum Romo1 may be a crucial parameter for monitoring the severity of OSAS and treatment efficiency.
