Hu W, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the levels of systemic C5a in patients with and without nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and lean controls. The results displayed elevated levels of serum C5a in obese children, particularly among those with NAFLD. There existed a possibility of these levels serving as a novel marker to predict advanced disease.
