Based on the results, it was deduced that vertex baldness could signal higher exposures to circulating dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It was also noted that serum PSA level could not serve as a surrogate diagnostic marker of increased androgenic activity in men with androgenetic alopecia (AGA).
