Serum adiponectin levels in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus: A meta-analysis
JCR: Journal of Clinical Rheumatology Sep 29, 2017
Dini AA, et al. - The difference between serum adiponectin levels in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients compared with control subjects is evaluated in this study. Collectively, these outcomes show that higher serum adiponectin level is significantly related to SLE. Moreover, they recommend that serum adiponectin levels in SLE patients are not correlated with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index scores. Imbalanced adiponectin levels could be related to the onset of other chronic diseases.
