Gao ZW, et al. - Given the involvement of adenosine deaminase (ADA) in autoimmune disease progression, researchers, in this study, intended to assess the potential application of serum ADA activity in diagnosing systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and evaluating SLE disease activity. Based on the findings, it was interpreted that serum ADA activity could be a diagnostic marker for SLE and may serve as a tool to assess and monitor the disease activity of SLE patients.
