Joly P, et al. - This study was performed to investigate whether SERPINA1 and MAN1B1 polymorphisms were linked to severe liver disease in a French cohort of alpha-1 anti-trypsin deficiency patients (A1ATD). The authors revealed that in A1ATD, genetic polymorphisms in these two genes probably did not influence the onset of severe liver disease.
