Reiche S, et al. - Researchers investigated serotonergic hallucinogens for the treatment of anxiety associated with life-threatening diseases. Because of their anxiolytic and antidepressant properties, serotonergic hallucinogens proved beneficial in patients with life threatening diseases associated with symptoms of depression and anxiety. In a clinical setting, substances exhibited a reasonable safety profile.
