Shim H, et al. - This study entailed an assessment of serial changes in mean pressure gradient (mPG) across tricuspid and mitral valves after simultaneous dual implantation of flexible bands. At mid-term follow-up, there was no promotion in stenosis of tricuspid valves due to flexible-band annuloplasty. These findings confirm the safety of prophylactic tricuspid annuloplasty (via flexible band) as an adjunct to mitral annuloplasty.
