Arthritis & Rheumatology Mar 27, 2019
Riechers E, et al. - In this multicenter study, the International Spondyloarthritis Autoantibody (InterSpA) trial, investigators analyzed the sensitivity vs specificity of anti-CD74 and HLA–B27 to identify the subjects with nonradiographic axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). They observed 100 candidates with inflammatory back pain receiving an investigation of nonradiographic axSpA with the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis international Society (ASAS) criteria fulfilled. They recorded 47% and 17%, the sensitivity of IgA anti-CD74 and IgG anti-CD74 for distinguishing the 100 axSpA cases, respectively. They suggested IgA anti-CD74 a useful tool for recognizing axSpA.
