To examine the accuracy of sPVS in PHPT, this was the first meta-analysis. When compared to noninvasive modalities in revision parathyroid surgery, sPVS had higher pooled sensitivity. Nonetheless, for preoperative localization, the invasiveness of this technique did not favour its routine use. Among all other parathyroid venous sampling techniques, super-selective venous sampling was the most accurate.
