Sebocytes contribute to skin inflammation by promoting the differentiation of Th17 cells

Mattii M, et al. – The goal of this paper was to examine the functional communication between human sebocytes and T cells. It was inferred that human sebocytes actively took part in the inflammatory processes in the skin by recruiting and communicating with immune cells. This interaction resulted in the generation of Th17 cells, which in turn, could contribute to the pathogenesis of acne vulgaris and several inflammatory skin diseases.
