Akioka H, et al. - The impact of weather conditions on acute myocardial infarction (AMI) onset was evaluated. Analyzing 274 patients enrolled in the Oita AMI Registry who were admitted with AMI between June 2012 and May 2013, researchers found that specific weather conditions influence AMI onset within each season in the Oita prefecture. In summer, AMI onset was noted in particular association with the maximum temperature 2 days before AMI onset.
