Scrotal hemorrhage after testicular sperm aspiration may be associated with phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor administration: A retrospective study
BMC Urology Feb 23, 2018
Zhu YT, et al. - Experts sought to evaluate the incidence of scrotal hemorrhage following testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) in men who were administered phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5i). The risk of scrotal hemorrhage in men undergoing TESA was noted to be increased with the PDE5i administration. Taking into account the potential risk of scrotal hemorrhage following the ingestion of PDE5i, it could be wise not to administer PDE5i to men in whom a TESA could be performed.
