Nipp RD, et al. - The authors aimed to investigate whether sarcopenia was associated with quality of life (QOL) and depression in patients with advanced cancer. Among patients with newly diagnosed, incurable cancer, sarcopenia was highly prevalent. The associations of sarcopenia with worse QOL and depression symptoms emphasized the need to discuss the issue of sarcopenia early in the course of illness.
