As per data, among older individuals, a significant predictor of hospitalization was sarcopenia and the characteristics of the population or the definition of sarcopenia may not significantly affect the association. A higher rate of hospitalization was seen in hospitalized patients with sarcopenia vs patients without sarcopenia; as seen in the results of subgroup analyses.
