Omran A, et al. - This study investigated if salivary C-reactive protein (CRP), mean platelet volume (MPV), neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelets/lymphocytes ratio (PLR) would be applicable as diagnostic markers in late onset neonatal pneumonia. For the first time, suitability of both salivary CRP and MPV as diagnostic markers in late onset neonatal pneumonia was demonstrated in this study.
