Nazarian S, et al. - Herein, the authors intended to gauge the safety of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients who had a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter–defibrillator that was not considered to be MRI-conditional (termed a “legacy” device). The yielded data revealed that the observed changes in lead parameters were not clinically significant. There was no requirement for device revision or reprogramming. No long-term clinically prominent adverse events were brought to light.
