Safety aspects of preoperative high-dose glucocorticoid in primary total knee replacement

Jørgensen CC, et al. – Long–term safety of preoperative high–dose glucocorticoid in primary total knee replacement was assessed in this current prospective cohort study. Findings demonstrated no association of preoperative high–dose glucocorticoid administration with length of hospital stay (LOS) >4 days, readmissions or infectious complications in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients without contraindications.
