Neurology® Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation Dec 21, 2017
Gaede G, et al. - A randomized, sham-controlled phase I/IIa study was conducted to assess the safety and preliminary efficacy of deep brain H-coil repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) over the prefrontal cortex (PFC) and the primary motor cortex (MC) in patients with MS with fatigue or depression. Among patients with MS, H-coil rTMS was found to be safe and well tolerated. The observed sustained reduction in fatigue after subthreshold MC stimulation warranted additional study.
