Anuwong A, et al. - This study sought to compare the safety and outcomes of the transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach (TOETVA) with those of open thyroidectomy (OT). In the study population, the TOETVA was performed as safely as OT, required only conventional laparoscopic instruments, and avoided incisional scars. The approach thus could be considered an option for select patients.
