Aburajab M, et al. - The safety and efficacy of lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMSs) with and without simultaneous double-pigtail plastic stents for draining pancreatic pseudocyst (PP) were evaluated in this study. For the endoscopic drainage of PPs, LAMSs and walled-off necrosis (WON) were similarly effective. However, higher PP infection trend was observed with LAMSs, and placing a double-pigtail stent across the LAMS minimized this risk.
