Komoto S, et al. - Researchers intended to examine the safety and efficacy of leukocytapheresis (LCAP) in elderly patients with ulcerative colitis (UC). In the elderly and non-elderly groups, similar safety and tolerability of LCAP were observed. Thus, LCAP was found to be well tolerated by elderly UC patients.
