Ralph J, et al. - In this study, researchers assess whether use of a Foley balloon for cervical ripening is comparable in safety and efficacy to oxytocin alone during induction of labor in women with a history of cesarean delivery (CD). Compared to oxytocin, Foley balloon show similar safety profile when cervical ripening is necessary during induction of labor. However, the procedure proved less efficacious.
