Safety and efficacy of cold snare polypectomy without submucosal injection for large sessile serrated lesions: A prospective study
Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology Nov 05, 2020
Kimoto Y, Sakai E, Inamoto R, et al. - In view of the fact that cold snare polypectomy (CSP) has become the standard resection method for small colorectal polyps (< 10 mm), researchers conducted this investigation to test the safety and effectiveness of CSP for sessile serrated lesions (SSLs) ≥ 10 mm. Three hundred consecutive patients who underwent CSP for 474 SSLs ≥ 10 mm were prospectively enrolled between November 2018 and January 2020. Using CSP without submucosal injection, all lesions were successfully resected. For SSLs ≥ 10 mm, CSP without submucosal injection is a safe and effective treatment.
